Subclass 482​ - Temporary Skill Shortage(TSS)

This is an employer-sponsored visa in Australia, commonly known as a Temporary Skill Shortage Visa (TSS). Short-term Stream

 Visa is valid for up to 2 years

 The application process time is about 3 months

Eligibility Criteria under this stream

 Should meet the English language criteria as defined by the Australian Government

 Nominated occupation must be on the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL)

 minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience required

Medium-term Stream

 Visa is valid for up to 4 years

 Application time is about 70 days

Labour Agreement Stream

 Employers introduce overseas skilled workers from overseas through labor agreements.

 Although this is a temporary visa, if the applicant has a "medium-term stream" visa and meets specific requirements, he or she can apply for an Australian employer's assurance of 186 or 187 visas to gain permanent residency in Australia. Furthermore, the candidate earns extra points for work experience in Australia, which will be another method to apply for skilled immigrant visas.
